Former Everton star Andy Gray sends title warning to Liverpool

Former Everton star Andy Gray has said that Liverpool are overconfident on the front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah and that could cost them in the quest for the Premier League title. The attacking trio have carried over the form from the previous campaign and their efforts have helped them cement the top spot in the Premier League after 10 games into the season.

Speaking on BeIN SPORTS, Gray said that the Reds don’t have much creativity on the bench when compared to Manchester City and they are more or less reliant on the front three to deliver the title. He added that an injury for one or two of the frontmen could hamper their title aspirations, given they don’t have a regular goalscorer on the bench.

High Expectations for William Saliba in Arsenal

Arsenal made a desperate attempt to get a player in the center-back position for their team during the transfer window in summer. The situation was ideal for them to sign a defender who has shown world class play earlier for improving their defensive side. But something of this sort did not happen. Instead of taking up an established and renowned player with a huge fee, they chose to sign up youngsters to challenge their rivals before the development of a level away from reputation and price range.  As a result of this, William Saliba agreed to the terms and signed with Arsenal.

He has been viewed as one of the young and talented players on the defensive side regarding world football. Last season, he got a chance into the first football team. Liverpool and Manchester City are the two favourites to lift the Premier League this season. However, one thing becoming pronounced is that a major factor to winning would be how they handle their injury crisis.

The Reds are missing Alisson Becker in goal. Naby Keita as an option in midfield and DivockOrigiupfront are not possible as they are sidelined. With James Milner’s output becoming below par, if anything happens to Trent Alexander-Arnold, there is no Nathaniel Clyne to step in as he remains in recovery from ACL injury.

Manchester United are believed to be close to signing Benfica defender Ruben Dias according to reports from England. The Sun reports that the Red Devils are looking to trigger the buyout clause in Dias contract.

The 21-year-old reportedly has a £52 million buy-out clause in his current contract and several clubs are interested in his services.

Bernd Leno happy with his performances for Arsenal this season

Germany international Bernd Leno has acknowledged that he has experienced a relatively good season with Arsenal. The shot-stopper started the season as the second-choice to Petr Cech in goal but he managed to secure the number one role after the veteran suffered a hamstring injury midway through the Premier League game against Watford in October.

Since then, he has racked 23 starts in the English top-flight and most of his performances have been consistent enough to please the Gunners faithful. Speaking to, Leno said: “I think I’ve played a good season and of course I need time to get a feeling and adapt to the league and my new team. Goalkeeper is a special person and I think I’m now in a good moment. I will keep working over the last eight games to show my best performances and help the team. I think today I did the same like weeks before. We are in the top four and now the other teams will wait for our mistakes.”

Leno has been criticised for the odd mistake during the course of the campaign but of late, he has been in brilliant form with point-blank saves against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, which have helped the club secure valuable points. At present, Arsenal are occupying the fourth position on the table, and they are holding a two and three-point advantage over Manchester United and Chelsea respectively for the final Champions League spot.
