De Bruyne’s agent indirectly dismisses Real Madrid speculation

The agent of Kevin de Bruyne has dismissed the ongoing speculation linking Kevin de Bruyne with a possible move to Real Madrid in the summer. Manchester City have recently been handed with a two-season European competition ban by UEFA and that has led to suggestions that a number of first-team stars may head through the exit door.

Obviously, the Citizens have the chance of nullifying the ban through an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport but that has not stopped the speculation regarding a number of first-team regulars. Among those, De Bruyne has been associated with a possible switch to the Bernabeu this summer but his agent has denied those claims.

ARTETA ADMITS ARSENAL MIGHT NEED TO SELL

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has admitted that the club will be forced to sell some of their top players in the summer transfer window should they fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Arsenal announced they made a £27.1m loss in the 2018/19 season, and the lack of Champions League football this season certainly won’t have aided the course in North London. Factor into that the £72m signing of Nicolas Pépé last summer, and you’ll get a good idea of how much money Arsenal have available to spend on new arrival in the summer.

Former Everton star Andy Gray sends title warning to Liverpool

Former Everton star Andy Gray has said that Liverpool are overconfident on the front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah and that could cost them in the quest for the Premier League title. The attacking trio have carried over the form from the previous campaign and their efforts have helped them cement the top spot in the Premier League after 10 games into the season.

Speaking on BeIN SPORTS, Gray said that the Reds don’t have much creativity on the bench when compared to Manchester City and they are more or less reliant on the front three to deliver the title. He added that an injury for one or two of the frontmen could hamper their title aspirations, given they don’t have a regular goalscorer on the bench.

High Expectations for William Saliba in Arsenal

Arsenal made a desperate attempt to get a player in the center-back position for their team during the transfer window in summer. The situation was ideal for them to sign a defender who has shown world class play earlier for improving their defensive side. But something of this sort did not happen. Instead of taking up an established and renowned player with a huge fee, they chose to sign up youngsters to challenge their rivals before the development of a level away from reputation and price range.  As a result of this, William Saliba agreed to the terms and signed with Arsenal.

He has been viewed as one of the young and talented players on the defensive side regarding world football. Last season, he got a chance into the first football team. Though, he has had the less senior experience, still, he was highly hyped during the course of European football. Currently, William is spending the year on loan. But huge expectations are on him by the team when he makes his return to Arsenal in the coming summer. They took the risk earlier because they thought that he might become an expensive and worthy player next summer for Arsenal to make the signing worthwhile.

INJURIES COULD SHAPE LEAGUE WINNER

Liverpool and Manchester City are the two favourites to lift the Premier League this season. However, one thing becoming pronounced is that a major factor to winning would be how they handle their injury crisis.

The Reds are missing Alisson Becker in goal. Naby Keita as an option in midfield and DivockOrigiupfront are not possible as they are sidelined. With James Milner’s output becoming below par, if anything happens to Trent Alexander-Arnold, there is no Nathaniel Clyne to step in as he remains in recovery from ACL injury.
