Tottenham Hotspur might have been able to get into Europe 3 times in succession, but that’s not sufficient to satisfy their manager Mauricio Pochettino who reckons winning trophies is as important as making sure that the team plays in the Champions League.
Pochettino didn’t undermine the efforts of his boys though. He acknowledged that it’s fantastic from his team to earn a top 4 spot three times on the trot, but he stresses that it would have been icing on the cake if it had come with a trophy as well.

Speaking to reporters, Wenger praised Petr Cech as a perfectionist after having had a successful career in the English top-flight, where he has won numerous accolades including the Premier League and Champions League with ex-club Chelsea. The experienced campaigner has received plenty of stick from the fans owing to his reduced agility in front of goal, but Wenger still has his trust in his keeper, who insists follows a strict regime in order to extend his professional career.
Even though Manchester City have set new records in the division, they have once again failed to get the results when it comes to Europe. This is despite manager Pep Guardiola being given clear instructions to concentrate on Europe. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager brought in a raft of new signings at expensive and inflated prices.
